Expect more to God
Wait for God to move in your life, and while waiting serve Him with as much as you can!
Year 2006 when Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) became popular here in the Philippines, I became one of those students who enrolled on this course. Year 2008 when nursing starts to decline; other countries close the opportunity of employing nurses, also many hospitals here on our country were not hiring nurses anymore. So as registered nurse, you have to volunteer on hospitals. That’s kinda unfair but you just have to accept. Some of the nurses work as a call center agents, and stuff that are not related with the course they had.
When we were having our fellowship with Diana Lou Tanueco a Registered Nurse, she shared about her experienced and how God moved to her life. After she graduated and passed the board exam, she had no work for almost a year then when she found a job it was just temporary. No work, no money! As a graduate person, she was very timid to ask her parents for money, so she tried to seek and find another job. Everyday she prayed to God for a new career. She even experienced asking money to her friends for her to go to church. Many people blessed her during her time of needs. She said “God never stop working!” Although she ain’t got any money, she always gives God a part of what she got.
Many months of waiting, she decided to submit her paper to China for employment although she doesn’t want to work abroad. Many people advised her including me not to leave our country. She said this “I want to stay here as much as I want. I will leave unless God blessed me a work as nurse here with salary. I just want to help my family.”
She exerted so much effort to go to China. She prepared a lot of things as if she’s leaving. She told her self, while waiting for the confirmation she will work on hospitals as a volunteered nurse. Just for you to know being a volunteered nurse has no salary. Then one day, someone called her “is this Ms. Diana Lou Tanueco?” Upon hearing those words, at the back of her mind she was thinking of China. “Yes” she confirmed. The one who called her was the manager of the temporary work she had before. “We have to see you tomorrow.”
She went to the interview. She wore his white uniform as if ready for work. The moment she arrived, she saw her colleagues not wearing uniforms. Definitely, she was all-out! While waiting for her time to be interviewed, she was praying and just confident that she will be hire! The moment she entered the room, she was told “you will start working next week.” No interview, no discussions! And now, she was candidate for being the head nurse of that said work.
The moment she leave the room; “Lord, thank you. I did not expect that you will bless me this much. I never work with this. I never even exerted my time and effort for this job. I will work Lord; this time I can help my family. You are my provider!”
Our God is mighty to save! She never forgets to pray and serve God. And see God rewarded her with that much. “Like God, I will also bless those people who first blessed me when I am in need” she avowed.
God is our provider! He works in ways we can never imagine. Almost always He will give us much more than we were expecting. That’s the God we serve. He is progressive God. Give Him what He deserves and He will bless you what you ought to have!
God wants to do big things in your life! He wants to perform new things in your life. He wants you to be continuously increasing and rising to new heights! The LORD declares in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Just think big! Do not limit God in your life. Jesus said in Matthew 9:17 “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the old skins would burst from the pressure, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. New wine is stored in new wineskins so that both are preserved.” God is saying that we can’t have a better life with restricted and limited attitudes. We will miss the opportunity that God has for us when we are not willing to change the way we think.
Expect God’s favor to help you break out of the barriers and rise to new heights! Expect to do extremely well in whatever you do.
