Road Trip with God
All of us are driving our own cars in our own street called life. In every intersection, God is there. Don’t forget to stop, look and listen to God’s signal. Are you letting God direct your life?
When I read this book entitled Road Trip by Ru Dela Torre, I was like “Lord, I want you to take care of the driver seat and bring me to the place where you want me to live. (What I mean here is the heaven!)” This book helps me to realize that life is not about driving it with my own hand but rather letting God do it for you. Let God manipulate your life; to control every circumstance you have; to work for your situation; to direct you on the right path. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Sometimes God will let you choose on your own, for you to know that only His way will satisfy you. Perhaps, you are enjoying lots of things in this world – having lots of doohickey, studying on a good excellent university, you are one of those honorable students, you have lots of cash on your pocket, you are successful in every corner of your life, many people are complimenting your works, you can party all night long and do everything you want to yet you are not contented, satisfied and happy! You might wonder, “What’s wrong? Something is not right.” What if I tell you, because God is not on the driver seat of your life!
Pastor Dela Torre is very anointed person! He never runs out of words to say about Daddy God. He encourages us (youth) to grow deeper to God. I was able to talk to him every after the youth sermon on our church, he really helps me to become mature when it comes to my relationship with God. Through his book I learned that life without Christ is a boring life. I mean, only God can make us experience the real joy that we need. No one could tell you how good God is until you experience Him personally. My living testimony about God might be different on yours. Everyone can experience God with only one question, are you willing to open your heart? Through these, you can see the miraculous things that God will show you. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us (1 Corinthians 12:6).
This book also showed me that God is so desperate with me, to be His own children. He is the perfect Father who longs for our love for Him. Who we are that He is mindful of us? That’s what we called UNFAILING LOVE. God never stop on loving you, He is waiting for you! Come on, give Him the driver seat. He is the best driver ever, He will bring you to the place which He prepared for you and for me!
Those people who already read the Road Trip 1, long wait is over! Pastor Dela Torre has new revelations for us. He was done writing the Road Trip 2 and it is already out. I am encouraging you to get a copy of these books (Road Trip 1 and 2) and see how God transform your most boring life into most exciting one you will ever have!
Come on! Lets us experience the stroll with God! Enjoy the ride.
